GRACE EFOSA
FEATURED ATHLETE
Grace Efosa is a force to be reckoned with—on and off the court. A standout star at Providence College, Grace’s basketball journey is a story of grit, determination, and jaw-dropping talent. By the time she hung up her Friars jersey, she had cemented her legacy as one of the program’s greats, finishing 28th all-time in scoring with 1,115 career points. But numbers only tell part of the story—Grace is the kind of player who thrives in the spotlight and delivers when it matters most.
During the 2024-25 season, Grace was the heartbeat of the Friars, starting all 32 games and leading the team with 13.4 points per game. Whether she was draining clutch shots, grabbing boards, or dishing out assists, she was a constant threat on the court. She scored in double figures 22 times that season, including six electrifying 20-point performances. Her ability to rise to the occasion was on full display in the BIG EAST Tournament, where she dropped 14 points, snagged eight rebounds, and added two steals against Georgetown. Her efforts earned her a well-deserved spot on the All-BIG EAST Second Team and the Cancun Challenge All-Tournament Team.
Grace’s career is a masterclass in resilience. From battling injuries early on to becoming the Friars’ go-to player, she never stopped pushing her limits. Her highlight reel includes a career-high 29-point explosion against Villanova, a milestone 1,000th career point against St. John’s, and a BIG EAST Player of the Week nod. She even made history as the first Friar since 1993 to earn BIG EAST All-Tournament Team honors.
Before dominating at Providence, Grace was already making waves at Whittier Tech. A three-time Eagle-Tribune All-Star and league MVP, she averaged a jaw-dropping 24.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 6.0 assists per game in her senior year. Oh, and she wasn’t just a basketball phenom—Grace was also an All-State triple jumper and a four-time All-Scholastic Honor Roll honoree. Talk about a multi-talented powerhouse!

Off the court, Grace is just as inspiring. She graduated from Providence in May 2024 with a degree in social science and is now pursuing a Master of Arts in global education. A proud daughter of Esosa Omoridion and Efosa Aguebor, Grace draws strength from her close-knit family, including her three brothers and one sister, who have been her biggest cheerleaders.
Grace Efosa isn’t just an athlete—she’s a trailblazer, a leader, and a relentless competitor. Whether she’s lighting up the scoreboard or chasing her dreams in the classroom, Grace is proof that hard work, heart, and hustle can take you anywhere.
